Terms of service
Effective October 21, 2026
These terms cover your purchase of The Rate Reset and the New-Client Price Builder from The Rate Reset, which is a trading name of Emanuel Chereji, Hofmannsthalweg 20/1/4, 4030 Linz, Austria.
They are short on purpose. Anything a normal person would find surprising is in bold.
What you are buying
The Rate Reset is a tool for owners of cleaning businesses. It runs in your web browser and helps you work out what each of your recurring clients earns you per hour, a price for each client based on targets you set, a plan for raising prices, notices and replies you can send to your clients, and a tracker for their answers. It costs $149 USD.
The New-Client Price Builder is an optional add-on that prices new clients from your own numbers and writes a quote. It costs $39 USD.
The price shown is the total you pay: $149 USD for The Rate Reset, $39 USD for the New-Client Price Builder, $188 USD for both. No Austrian VAT is added: the products are supplied to customers in the United States, where the place of supply lies, so the sale is outside the scope of Austrian VAT. Nothing is shipped, so there is no delivery charge.
It is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no recurring charge and no automatic renewal of anything. If you are ever billed twice, that is a mistake, and emailing support@theratereset.com will fix it.
Where we sell
We sell to customers in the United States. Our checkout is set up for United States buyers and our prices are in US dollars.
You are welcome to read every page of this site from anywhere in the world. We do not block visitors by country and we do not redirect them.
Delivery and access
Delivery is automatic. The moment your payment goes through, your confirmation page shows a button that opens what you bought, and your order confirmation email has the same button. You can always reach it again from your order page.
Your information stays on your device. Everything you type into the tool (your clients, prices and notes) is saved in your own browser. We do not receive it and cannot restore it. Use the tool’s backup file to keep a copy or to move your work to another device. Clearing your browser’s data, or using a private window, can erase what is saved there.
What you may do with it
You get a licence to use the tools for your own cleaning business, on any of your devices, and to send the notices and quotes they write to your own clients. Please don’t share the link to the tools outside your business: other businesses need their own copy.
You may not resell the tools, copy or republish them, or present them as your own product.
The software, texts, layout and The Rate Reset name remain ours.
Refunds
30 days, no conditions, full refund. Email support@theratereset.com with your order number. The full policy is in our Refund Policy, and it does not add a condition that this sentence does not have.
The statutory warranty, which is separate from the guarantee
The guarantee above is voluntary. Independently of it, Austrian law gives you a two year statutory warranty on digital content and services, and for the first year the law assumes a defect was present from the start unless we prove otherwise. We cannot exclude that and we do not try to.
So if what you bought does not work as we described it, tell us. That is a legal entitlement, not a favour.
What we promise, and what we do not
We stand behind the description of what the tools do and that their arithmetic is applied as shown on screen.
The tools calculate from the numbers and targets you enter; they do not predict how any client will respond. We do not promise that a client will accept a new price, that you will keep any client, or any particular income. What happens depends on your business, your clients and your decisions.
Not legal, tax or financial advice
The notices, notice-timing guidance and state flags are practical information, not legal advice. Rules on price changes, notice, automatic payments and sales tax differ by state and by the agreements you have with your clients. Where it matters, check with a professional who knows your situation.
Liability
We are liable to you for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for any injury to life, body or health, without limit. None of that is excluded, and no clause here can be read as excluding it.
For ordinary carelessness in a matter that does not involve injury, our liability is limited to what you paid for your order.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of the place you live. Where that law gives you more than these terms do, that law wins.
Which law applies, and where you can sue
These terms are governed by Austrian law. That is a floor and not a ceiling: it cannot take away the protection that the mandatory law of the place you live gives you.
You keep every court you are entitled to use. If you want to sue us, you may do it in the courts where you live, and nothing here changes that. If we ever need to sue you, we will do it where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the new version appears here with a new effective date, and it applies to purchases made after that date.
A change never applies to a purchase you have already made, and continuing to use the site is not treated as agreeing to anything. The terms that govern your order are the ones that were on this page when you bought.
