Text to Linda, ready to send

Hi Linda, it’s Dana from Sparkle Home. Starting Jan 1, your rate for cleaning every 2 weeks will be $155 a visit (now $130). Thank you for having me!…

Example client. Yours are worked out from your own numbers.

You already know which ones.

You priced low to win your first houses. Those clients stuck with you, and so did their prices. Gas went up. Supplies went up. The house got a dog, then kids, then more stuff on every counter. A decade went by.

Every January you think about raising them. Then you picture the conversation, and you don’t.

Two things are missing: the number for each client, and the words to tell them. The Rate Reset gives you both.

The plan

$155 on Jan 1, then $180 on Jul 1

Raises over 20% or $30 a visit are split into dated steps. Big one-time jumps on long-time clients are where owners lose people.

If you raised 7 clients like this one and 1 of them left, you’d still come out ahead, with fewer hours on the road.

What you get

Everything you need to raise your clients this January

Free pricing calculators quote one new house. The Rate Reset works on the clients you already have: every one of them, with the notice to send.

Every client’s real number

What you make per hour at each house once drive time, gas, supplies and card fees come out. Ranked worst first, so the clients who need it most are at the top.

A fair price for each, from your own target

You decide what you want to make. It sets each client’s price, rounded the way you like, and splits big jumps into dated steps so long-time clients aren’t shocked.

The nerve, in numbers

How many of the clients you raise could leave, the most-raised first, before you’d earn less than today. You see it before you send a single notice.

The words, written for each client

A notice with their name, old price, new price and start date, as a letter, email or text, warm or brief. Plus replies for “Can you keep my old price?”, “We’ll have to come less often” and “We’re on a fixed income.”

When to send each one

The send window for your start date, with a flag where a state or a payment method has its own rules (California, New York, bank autopay).

A tracker

Who you told, who said yes, who went less often, and what the year adds up to. “Did I tell her yet?”, answered.

How it works

  1. Add your clients

Type them in, or paste them from a spreadsheet or your Jobber, ZenMaid or Housecall Pro export. A client takes about a minute: price, schedule, hours, drive.

  2. Set your target

What you want to make per hour, or, with a team, the margin you want to keep after pay or a price per cleaner-hour. Every cost it uses is shown and yours to change.

  3. Send your notices

Copy, text or email each one, mark who said yes, and see what the raise adds up to.

Why now

Raising in January? The notices go out in December.

Most owners give about 30 days’ notice. For a January 1 raise, that means the first days of December. Every month you wait, you work the same houses for less.

What owners report

Most owners who raise their whole list lose no one, or one.

We read hundreds of public posts by cleaning business owners about raising their rates. Of the 68 who said how a raise across several or all of their clients went:

  • Lost no one31
  • Lost one client16
  • Lost a few, mostly replaced14
  • Lost many, or rolled it back3
  • Other or still waiting4

The hard cases were big one-time jumps on clients whose price hadn’t moved in years. That’s why The Rate Reset splits those into steps and shows you the risk before you send anything.

Owners’ own public posts on Reddit, Facebook groups, YouTube and TikTok, read in October 2026. Self-reported, and not a promise of what your clients will do.

Made for you if

  • You clean homes on a schedule: weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly
  • You work alone or with a small team, W-2 or contractors
  • Some of your clients haven’t seen a new price in years

Not for brand-new businesses without clients yet, commercial contracts, or franchises with set prices.

What it is, and isn’t

  • A tool that runs in your browser, on your phone or computer. No account, no download, no subscription.
  • It works next to what you use now: Jobber, ZenMaid, Housecall Pro, a spreadsheet or a notebook.
  • Your client list stays on your device. We never see it.
  • The math is open: “How is this worked out?” on each plan shows every step, with your own figures.

The Rate Reset

$149 one payment

  • The app: your whole client list, priced, ranked and planned
  • Notices for every client: letter, email, text and invoice line
  • Replies for the six things clients say back
  • Send windows and state and autopay flags

Questions

What if I don’t know how long each house takes?

Use your best guess, and tighten it after you time your next few visits. “How is this worked out?” on each plan shows which numbers rest on your estimates. A rough number for each client beats no number.

Do I have to raise everyone?

No. You can keep any client as they are, and many owners keep a few long-time clients on purpose. The plan shows what each choice costs you, so you decide with the numbers in front of you.

What if a client says no?

Before you send anything, you see how many of your raised clients could leave before you’d earn less than today. You also get replies for the common answers, including offering a lighter visit or a different schedule at the right price.

How much notice should I give?

Most owners give about 30 days. Some states have rules for plans that renew until the client cancels: California and New York, for example, want the notice no more than 30 days before the change. The app shows the send window for each client and flags these. It’s practical guidance, not legal advice.

I have a team. Does it work for me?

Yes. Choose hourly W-2, commission or contractor pay, add your payroll costs, and it shows profit per visit after pay, plus what each client brings in per cleaner-hour, drive time included.

I use Jobber, ZenMaid or Housecall Pro.

Keep using them. Export or copy your recurring clients and paste them in, or type them. The Rate Reset does the pricing plan and the notices; your software keeps doing the scheduling and billing.

Is my client information private?

Yes. Everything you enter stays in your browser on your device. We don’t see it and don’t store it. Save a backup file to move it to another device.

Is it a subscription?

No. One payment of $149. Use it for this raise and every one after.

How do I get it?

Right after checkout you get an Open button on the confirmation page and in your email. It opens in your browser, no download or account.
